Breed Show

Saturday was a beautiful day for the stallion show. Unfortunately on the way to the show the lorry we have been using broke down, although it was mended on the road side, we had caused quite a blockage and had the police there also, we were too late to carry on and had too make our way home.

On the Monday we travelled the mare and foal to the show. The mare did not get any where, she preferred the jumping and cross country, but the foal made a really good impression and got 2nd in the filly class, only being beaten by the well travelled foal bred by June Witham.

Mid Somerset Show

Easter attended this small and friendly show ground on 16th August. The competition was very strong. We came back with a first in the large mountain and moorland class and a second in the stallions of any m+m breed. He then stood reserve champion. A good day and he was extremely well behaved.

Wincanton Show

After a week off due to a small strain Easter travelled to Wincanton Horse Show. We were rewarded by winning his class, which was a mixed mountain and moorland and then becoming reserve champion.

Three Counties Show

Woodrow Easter had a long travel to the Malvern show ground. We were yet again rewarded for our efforts (missing the children). He took first in his class and then went on to become champion new forest. We went to the Cuddy supreme championships. We did not get supreme champion in this extremely high standard mix inhand class, but his behaviour was impeccable showing how good the new forest breed are in different situations.

New Addition

Hyde Sienna, (Beaulieu) has at long last had her foal on Saturday evening, 20th June 2009. A beautiful chestnut filly out of Sabinas Gold Dust. As usual there were no complications. Mare and foal are doing absolutely fine

New Forest Champion at Royal Cornwall

We took the long journey down to the Royal Cornwall Show. We were rewarded for our efforts with a 1st in his class and Champion New Forest.

Bath and West Show

Easter carried on his streak of good fortune and won his class at the Bath and West show ground on Friday 29th May 2009. His class was for New forest stallions 4 years old and over. A good achievement as he has only moved up to the bigger age group this year, competing with the big boys.

Easter is Reserve Champion

Easter attended the Devon County show on Friday 22nd May 2009. He won his class, New Forest and Connemara 4 years and over. He then went on to became the champion new forest and then the Mountain and Moorland reserve champion. He also was ridden for the first time in the collecting ring and around the show ground and was a very good boy.
